Al-Hasakah (IP) – Al-Hasakah Province in northeastern Syria suffers from permanent water shortages by the Turkish government.

Iran PressMiddle East: Turkey has prevented fresh water from reaching the Syrian people of al-Hasakah. The Syrian parliament has condemned the Turkish government's move to cut off al-Hasakah water and called for an end to it.

In separate letters to the United Nations and the Security Council, the Syrian Foreign Ministry called the Turkish government's cut-off of al-Hasakah a crime and called for an immediate response from international institutions.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has decided to install desalination devices in al-Hasakah to reduce the pressure on the people.

Iranian Behnam wire and cable industries company has launched four desalination devices in the province to help people.
