Tehran (IP) - Rasoul Motamedi and Amir Hoghoughi Iranian Weightlifters claimed a gold and a bronze medal at Tashkent 2021 World Weightlifting Championships in the 102kg on Wednesday.

Iran PressIran news: Iranian Weightlifter, Rasoul Motamedi in the men’s 102kg weight class, claimed a gold medal at the 2021 World Weightlifting Championships at Turkmenistan.

In the men’s 102kg weight class, Motamedi lifted 177kg in the snatch and 220kh in the clean and jerk and finished in first place for a total of 397kg.

The bronze medal also went to Iran’s Amir Hoghoughi, who lifted a total of 388kg.

On Sunday, Iran’s Mirmostafa Javadi won a silver medal in the 81kg weight class.

Javadi lifted 163kg in snatch in the 81kg weight class and 204kg in clean and jerk and claimed the silver with a total of 367kg.

The 2021 World Weightlifting Championships are being held from Dec. 7 to 17 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
