Iran, Mexico universities ink MoC

Maraghe (IP) - The University of Maragheh of Iran has signed an educational and research memorandum with the Autonomous University of Queretaro, Mexico.

Iran PressIran news: Mohammad Ali Lotfollahi, President of Maragheh University of Iran, said: "The educational and research memorandum of this university has been signed with the Autonomous University of Queretaro with the aim of developing international cooperation."

Lotfollahi added: "Applying innovative methods, new technologies with the aim of advancing joint programs and facilitating access to research infrastructure are among other goals of signing this memorandum."

According to the president of Maragheh University, the professors and students of these two universities can use the laboratories and libraries of the two sides to conduct research and exchange professors and students.

The Maragheh University of Iran is located in East Azerbaijan Province which started its work as an agricultural school in 1991, was upgraded to a university in 2011 and now has four faculties: Basic sciences, Agriculture, Humanities, and Technical and engineering.

Currently, about 3,500 students are studying at Maragheh University.
