Iran's foreign ministry spokesman said the statement by the US self-proclaimed working group, three European countries, and the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council was not worth answering.

Iran PressIran News: The senior US, European officials, and members of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council hold a meeting in Riyadh, within the framework of the "Working Group on Iran", claiming that Iran’s activities pose a clear threat to regional security and stability.

The working group was established during the meeting that gathered US foreign ministers and the GCC countries on September 23 in New York.

Saeed Khatibzadeh, in response to the statement, said: "This meeting and statement is so fabricated, dramatic, and illegitimate that it is not worth answering."

"The US government, as a violator of UNSCR 2231 and a party that has left the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is responsible for the current situation, and as the only country with a history of using nuclear weapons, with a dark history of numerous interferences in the internal affairs of other countries and the main supplier of weapons and ammunition to different parts of the world, is once again trying to create a crisis and create an anti-Iran atmosphere," he said.

The Iranian diplomat stated, "Countries that have to answer for their adventures and aggression in the region, including the seven-year invasion of Yemen, cannot make baseless accusations against others and absolve themselves of responsibility for these crimes and divert the public attention."
