Iranian FM in a Telephone call with Italian counterpart:

Tehran (IP)- Referring to upcoming Vienna talks, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran in a telephone conversation with the Italian Foreign Minister stressed that all parties have reached a common understanding that the United States is responsible for the current situation.

Iran PressIran News: Referring to the fact that some parties have played an irresponsible role by remaining silent in the face of US extravagance thus contributing to the current unacceptable situation, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian stated that the new Iranian government is a pragmatic and result-oriented government.

Amir Abduolahian, said: "Iran has shared its views with the negotiating parties and is ready to reach a good agreement."

According to the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, this requires a full return of the negotiating parties to their obligations.

Iran, Italy to expand parliamentary cooperation

Referring to historic relations between the two countries, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said that the new Iranian administration is determined to develop its cooperation with friendly countries, including Italy, in an atmosphere of mutual respect and rely on the capacities and opportunities inherent in relations.

Iran's Foreign Minister also referred to the Afghanistan crisis reiterated the Islamic Republic of Iran's support for the establishment of an inclusive government in Afghanistan.

He said the illegitimate presence and catastrophic withdrawal of Washington aggravated the crisis in this country which has had a negative impact on the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan and the influx of many refugees and displaced people, especially to Iran.

He added: "Iran currently hosts about four million people from Afghanistan, so it is essential that international organizations fulfill their responsibilities regarding the situation of these refugees."

In this conversation, Amir Abdullahian also described the dire humanitarian situation in Yemen and called for increased diplomatic efforts to end the siege and war in Yemen.

In this telephone call, the Italian Foreign Minister also stressed his country's determination to further expand bilateral relations.

Luigi Di Maio expressed satisfaction with the positive trend in the continuation of efforts for the forthcoming talks in Vienna and expressed hope that this process will lead to favorable results so that we can see the further expansion of trade relations between Iran and Italy.

In the end, the two sides invited each other to hold an official visit and stressed the need for continued consultations. 219
