Nigeria (IP) - As of Wednesday, almost 48 hours after the collapse of the 21 story building in Lagos State of South Western Nigeria, the death toll rose to 21 while ten people were rescued by National Emergency Management Agency.

Iran PressAfrica: The authorities in the state said the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA) had approved only 15 stories to be built, but the owner added six more stories which resulted in the collapse.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotosho, said the government would surely punish those involved in violating the law (of the building).
