Shiraz (IP) - Pasargad Steel Complex (PASCO) in Shiraz, the capital of Fars province, is the largest private steel unit in Iran with an area of three million square meters.

Iran PressIran news: Pasargad Steel Complex has been constructed to create a complete steelmaking chain from the stage of receiving iron ore from the mine to the production of alloy steels under international standards on the southern side of Maharlu Lake in Shiraz.

Despite the sanctions, Pasargad Steel Complex is currently on the agenda of increasing production and building development phases of sponge iron and pelletizing to further increase national production.

The annual production capacity of alloy steels in PASCO is 1.5 million tons, sponge iron is 1.8 million tons, and pelletizing is 3.4 million tons.
