Iran Press/ Europe: Combating the COVID-19 pandemic and exploring ways to deal with the devastating effects of climate change have been announced as the main focus of talks between the leaders of the world's 20 industrialized nations and the European Union in the Italian capital.
The Italian government has taken special security measures to secure the G20 summit in Rome with more than 5,300 police.
The Italian government has also closed its air, land, and sea borders, and the Schengen agreement has been suspended.
On October 30th and 31st 2021, Rome hosts the G20 Heads of State and Government Summit, with the participation of the G20 Heads of State and Government, of their counterparts from invited countries, and of the representatives of some of the main international and regional organizations.
