Daily COVID death toll declining in Iran: 173 in 24 hrs

Tehran (IP) - Iran's Health Ministry announced on Saturday that 173 death cases due to COVID-19 had been registered during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 122,370.

Iran PressIran news: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to October 09, 2021, 5,691,634 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 5,201,515 of the infected people recovered.

Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 7,654 cases, out of whom 1,286 patients were hospitalized.

5,368 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICU).

So far, 33,144,555 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

According to the latest analysis, 7 cities are red, 108 are orange, 248 are yellow, and 85 are blue zones.

So far, 44,378,234 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 18,600,554 have received the second dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 62,978,788 doses.
