Tehran (IP) – Iran's Health Ministry announced on Wednesday that 216 death cases due to COVID-19 had been registered during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 121,779.

Iran PressIran News: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to October 06, 2021, 5,662,458 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 5,153,048 of the infected people recovered.

Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 10,497 cases, out of whom 1,805 patients were hospitalized.

5,598 COVID-19 patients are in Intensive Care Units (ICU).

So far, 32,829,944 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

According to the latest analysis, 16 cities are red, 198 are orange, 176 are yellow, and 58 are blue zones.

So far, 42,921,221 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 17,496,724 have received the second dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 60,417,945 doses.
