Tehran (IP) – Head of Iran's Red Crescent Society said the 21st consignment of COVID-19 vaccine purchased by the society entered Iran, comprising of 5 million doses of COVID vaccine.

Iran PressIran news: Karim Hemmati stated that the consignment was delivered to the officials of the Health Ministry at Imam Khomeini Airport on Thursday.

According to Hemmati, 5 million doses of COVID vaccine were imported to Iran this time.

He announced that with the entrance of this consignment, the Iranian Red Crescent Society has so far imported 40,390,000 doses of COVID vaccine.

Head of Iran's Red Crescent Society announced that from October 2 to November 1, 15 million doses of vaccine would be imported into the country every week, for a total of 60 million doses of COVID vaccine.
