Tehran (IP)- Iran's Health Ministry announced on Wednesday that 665 patients had died of COVID-19 during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 104,022.

Iran PressIran news: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to August 25, 2021, a total number of 4,796,377 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 4,020,844 of the total infected people recovered.

Yet, 764,185 people were vaccinated during the past 24 hours. Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 39,983 cases, out of whom 4,871 patients were hospitalized.

7,755 COVID-19 patients are in Intensive Care Units (ICU).

So far, 28,213,229 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

According to the latest analysis, 359 cities are red, 59 are orange, and 30 are yellow zones.

So far, 17,573,875 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 6,900,834 people have received the second dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 24,474,619 doses.
