Iran Press/Iran news: Manouchehr Mottaki said that once, on February 21, 2020, the people expressed their complaint to the officials with their low turn-out in the parliamentary elections, and that tempted the enemies' to abuse that for the 2021 presidential elections.
Mottaki said that the enemies made use of all facilities to encourage the low turn-out (20-25% of participation) in the 2021 elections of Iran so to challenge the Islamic Republic system, but they failed.
"In the past 8 years belief in the US was induced and all grounds were prepared for the enemies to strike the final blow, but the Iranian people came to polls," he noted.
He made the remarks while delivering a speech at the 'National Authority: People's Administration, Powerful Administration' conference in Tehran on Wednesday.
