Geneva (IP) – Iran's envoy to the UN said Israel's advocates must be accountable for the regime's hindering the implementation of justice.

Iran PressEurope: The Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the UN Headquarters in Geneva said that Palestinians were living under an apartheid regime in the most brutal system of human rights abuses.

Esmail Baqai Hamaneh noted that as long as the silence of the international bodies gives the Israeli regime impunity for its brutality against humanity, there was no end to the violence in Palestine.

He emphasized that the implementation of justice over the Israeli regime's crimes must become an immediate demand of the international community.

Supporters of Israel, who justify the regime's crimes and brutalities of this regime under the pretext of the right to “defend itself”, must be held accountable for supporting and emboldening the criminals and obstructing the administration of justice, he pointed out.

Iran's envoy stressed holding of referendum among all Palestinians, including the refugees, to determine their fate themselves, as the only sustainable solution to rescue the world from the crisis.

On Thursday night, the UN Human Rights Council voted in favor of the start of the international investigation into the crimes of the Israel regime during the recent 12-day conflict between the regime and the resistance groups.
