OIC extraordinary meeting chaired by Saudi Arabia

Tehran (IP) - At the end of their extraordinary meeting chaired by Saudi Arabia, the foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states issued a statement calling for an immediate and full cessation of all Israeli aggression against civilians and their assets.

The statement warned of the continuation of the above-mentioned actions and provocative remarks to continue the attacks. It stressed: “The continuation of the attacks endangers the lives of innocent civilians and harms them.

Its statement, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, strongly condemned Israel's brutal treatment of the Palestinian people. It underlined: "Any attempt to tarnish the image of Al-Aqsa Mosque and Quds is annulled."

The OIC's foreign ministers once again rejected and condemned the Israeli settlement process and its continuation and stressed the importance of the Jordanian dynasty's guardianship over Islamic and Christian holy sites in Beit-ul-Moqadds.

The statement concluded by blaming Israel for the deteriorating situation and calling it an occupying force with no legitimate rights in the Palestinian territories.

In recent days, the Israeli army has launched brutal attacks on the Gaza Strip, killing hundreds of civilians, most of them women and children.

In Gaza, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Forces have also fired hundreds of rockets into the occupied territories in retaliation for the Israeli regime's crimes.
