Zarif calls for an institutionalized campaign against Israeli apartheid regime

Tehran (IP) - The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran stressed that we must create an institutionalized legal and political campaign against the Israeli apartheid regime at the regional and international levels.

Iran PressIran news: "The Zionists are committing the most heinous crimes against the Palestinians," Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif told a virtual emergency meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) foreign ministers.

Zarif added: "Innocent men, women, and children in occupied Palestine have been slaughtered with the deadliest and most advanced weapons, and houses are being destroyed while their inhabitants are trapped in them."

"We are facing gross and organized violations of human rights, humanitarian law, and international law," he said.

Zarif stressed: "Today, the massacre of Palestinian children is followed by an alleged 'normalization', and the criminal and the murderous Zionist regime has once again proved that friendly movements against this regime will only intensify its atrocities."

According to Zarif, the sole purpose of Israel's hypocritical moves is to divide Muslims and isolate the Palestinian people.

"Israel understands only the language of resistance, and the Palestinian people have every right to defend themselves and to defy the bullying of this racist regime," he said.

Zarif added: "Israel's criminal acts should be recognized as genocide and crimes against humanity in domestic resolutions and the resolutions of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and member states must expand their national jurisdiction to include the prosecution of criminals who commit war crimes, genocide, and crimes against humanity in the Occupied Palestinian Territories."

The Iranian Foreign Minister stressed: "We are ready to put aside all differences and unite in defending the rights of the Palestinian people by resorting to any legitimate political and legal means."

That's while at least 202 people, including 55 children and 33 women, have been killed in the Gaza Strip in the past week. According to Aljazeera, more than 1,200 others have been wounded due to the Israeli regime's air raids.
