Tehran (IP) - Deputy minister and the head of the Food and Drug Administration of Iran said that more than 75% of Iranians were willing to use the Iranian coronavirus vaccine.

Iran PressIran News: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on Saturday about vaccination in Iran, Mohammadreza Shanesaz said, according to a poll, more than 75% of people are willing to be vaccinated with Iranian vaccine, and this was excellent.

The head of the Food and Drug Administration of Iran stated that in practice, they would be vaccinated with the Iranian coronavirus vaccine within the framework of the national plan for vaccination of the Iranian population.

While 7.5 to 8 million doses were supposed to be imported, so far, only 2,200 million doses have been received. Due to the restrictions imposed by the vaccine producers, the procedure did not go as planned, Shanehsaz noted.

The head of the Food and Drug Administration of Iran stated that currently, a contract of 20 million doses and a contract of 60 million doses of vaccine had been registered for import to Iran.
