Iran's trade volume with its neighbors reaches $36.5B

Tehran (IP) - The spokesman of Iran's Customs Administration (IRICA), said the country's trade with its neighbors reached $36.5 billion last year.

Iran PressIran news: "In the past year, the volume of Iran's trade with its neighbors in terms of weight amounted to 82 million 535 thousand 389 tons of goods equal to 36 billion 502 million 315 thousand 869 dollars," Rouhollah Latifi said on Wednesday.

Latifi added: This amount includes 56% of the weight and about 50% of the total trade of Iran with the world.

The customs spokesman added: "Iran's trades with 15 neighboring countries; the UAE, Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Iraq, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Russia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, and Saudi Arabia, are important."

Noting that the highest volume of Iranian imports is from the UAE and the lowest is related to Bahrain, the customs spokesman added: "After Iraq, the main destinations of Iranian exports are the UAE, Turkey, and Afghanistan, respectively."
