89-COVID-19 patients succumb to death in Iran

Tehran (IP) – Iran's Health Ministry spokeswoman announced that in the past 24 hours, 89 COVID-19 patients had lost their lives, bringing the total death toll to 62,397.

Iran Press/Iran News: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to March 28, 2021, newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 8,751 cases out of whom 1,049 patients were hospitalized, Sima Sadat Lari stated Saturday.

She noted that so far, 1,855,674 people in the country had contracted coronavirus, and 1,593,219 recovered.

3,928 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition, according to the spokeswoman.

So far, 12,618,420 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across the country, the Health Ministry spokeswoman pointed.

According to the latest analysis, 23 cities are in red, 44 in orange,  287 in yellow, and 94 in blue zones.
