Tehran (IP) - The CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company said that about 80% of the needs of the Iranian oil industry have been localized.

Iran Press/Iran News: In an interview with Iran Press on the sidelines of the opening of the 25th International Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Exhibition on Friday, Massoud Karbasian stated that the exhibition shows the ability of Iranian companies to produce hardware and software needs in the oil industry.

Karbasian said that about 80% of the needs of the oil industry are met with the cooperation of engineering companies, adding that the Jask furnace oil export pipeline is an example of using domestic power.

The CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company said that knowledge-based companies are important for progress in the oil industry, adding that today it is possible to install oil rigs at sea and build large oil structures inland with local knowledge.

The 25th International Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Exhibition opened on Friday in the presence of Minister of Oil Bijan Zanganeh and will last till January 25, 2021, at Tehran International Exhibition Center.
