Tehran (IP) - Iranian Minister of Petroleum said at the opening ceremony of the 25th International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition on Friday that US ex-president Trump's policy to reduce Iran's oil exports to zero failed.

Iran PressIran News: Bijan Zanganeh said that Donald Trump and his supporters went to the dustbin of history, adding that the Trump administration not only failed to reduce Iran's oil exports to zero but also Iran recorded good figures for the export of petroleum products.

The Iranian petroleum minister stated that during the sanctions, the highest record of oil product exports was achieved and Iranian companies should try to meet the domestic needs of the Ministry of Petroleum and become a brand in the region and the world.

He stated that most of the parts needed by the oil industry were made in Iran, adding that the cooperation of the ministry of petroleum with universities and knowledge-based companies had good results, and the development of the knowledge-based oil industry was seriously considered.

The Iranian Minister of Petroleum underscored that the establishment of an oil and gas technology park in the city of Rey, Tehran, whose details are in the final stages, would lead to a two-way relationship with startups and knowledge-based organizations.

Majid Bojarzadeh, Director of the 25th International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition at the opening ceremony of the exhibition said: "This exhibition, after the approval of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade and the agreement of the Ministry of Petroleum, with the maximum observance of health protocols to prevent COVID-19 and with the presence of about 500 major companies including E&P, GC, EPC, universities and scientific centers, associations, accelerators and startups in the field of oil and gas, rotary machines, process equipment, chemicals, electronics and precision instruments will be held in an area of ​​about 25,000 square meters."

The 25th International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition opened on Friday at the Tehran Exhibition Center and will run until January 25, 2021.
