Tehran (IP) - Iranian President stated that the Iranian nation is not a means of testing foreign vaccines.

Iran Press/Iran News: The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hassan Rouhani, stated at the 51st meeting of the National Task Force for Fighting Coronavirus in Tehran on Saturday: "Foreign companies wanted to give vaccines to Iran to test them on the people, but the Ministry of Health prevented this."

Referring to some rumors about the purchase of the corona vaccine, Rouhani added: "Radio and TV and the media should deal with such rumors. On the other hand, people must only listen to the experts of the Ministry of Health and not be deceived."

Stating that the preparation and purchase of vaccines is a priority of the government, he stressed: "The injection of vaccines should not mean that people stop observing health protocols."

Rouhani said: "If the effect of the corona vaccine is 100%, which is not the case in any vaccine, it will take several weeks for its effects to appear."

The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran added: "Almost everyone in the world recommends that even if there is enough vaccine available to all people, health instructions should be observed for at least another 5 to 6 months, so the Iranian people should continue to observe the health protocols.”
