Tehran (IP) - Iran’s president has ordered all businesses to open in the blue cities as the COVID-19 daily deaths have decreased by 70% in a month.

Iran Press/Iran News: Speaking on Saturday at the meeting of the National Task Force Against Coronavirus, President Hassan Rouhani said: "According to today's government ratification, cities with 2 in 100,000 infected where the situation is improving, will be regarded as blue."

"In these cities, all businesses will open and in the yellow areas, they will continue to operate in compliance with health protocols," Rouhani added.

Rouhani stated: "Over the past week, despite the growth of the coronavirus in many parts of the world, the trend in our country has been declining."

He added: "Today's statistics show that the effort made last month reduced the number of hospitalizations by 80% and the number of deaths by 70%. Although we still have to continue our efforts to reach the desired point, the situation has improved a lot."

Rouhani added: "At the same time, we should try not to enter the fourth wave with preventive measures and not have any problems until the end of the year."
