The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy has intercepted and detained two commercial vessels, identified as "MSC-FRANCESCA" (linked to the Israeli regime) and "EPAMINODES," in the Strait of Hormuz.

In a statement released today, the IRGC Navy announced the seizure of two ships operating in the strategic Strait of Hormuz. The operation, conducted as part of enhanced monioring of the waterway, led to the seizure of the "MSC-FRANCESCA," belonging to the Israeli regime, and the "EPAMINODES" vessel.

According to the IRGC statement, both ships were operating without proper authorization and had engaged in repeated violations. These included tampering with their navigation assistance systems, which endangered maritime navigation security. The vessels were reportedly attempting to leave the Strait of Hormuz in a covert manner.

Following their identification and interception by IRGC forces, both ships have been moved to the territorial waters of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This action has been taken "in line with the pursuit of the rights of the noble Iranian nation," as stated by the IRGC.

Both of the vessels were brought to Iranian waters for a thorough inspectionof their cargo, as well as their relevant documents and records.

The IRGC Navy reiterated its firm stance on maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz, emphasizing that any actions aimed at disrupting the implementation of Iran's declared regulations for passage through the Strait, or any activities contrary to safe transit through this strategic waterway, are continuously monitored. The IRGC has pledged to deal decisively and legally with any violators.
