BAGHDAD (IP) - The head of Iraq's al-Fatah coalition said the government should keep its promise to finalize the withdrawal of US troops.

Iran PressMiddle East: "The expulsion of the American occupying forces is in the interest of the realization of national sovereignty and the establishment of a just government that can serve its citizens, and fulfill all its obligations," said Hadi al-Amiri, Head of the al-Fatah Coalition, according to Iraqi Aletejah TV.

On January 03, 2020, the US terrorist government martyred the then Commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, and Abu-Mahdi al-Muhandis, the Deputy Head of Iraq's Hashd al-Shaabi or Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) as well as a number of their companions near Baghdad Airport.

Following the crime, the Iraqi parliament, on January 05, 2020, approved a plan to withdraw US troops from Iraq.
