Talking with American host Tucker Carlson in an exclusive interview, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized that Iran seeks peace, dialogue, and only the respect for international law while warning that the region faces a dangerous future if Israel’s provocations and U.S. aggression continue.

Why it matters:

The Iranian message of peace was streamed through U.S. media right to teh American people. The message points out Iran’s nuclear program has never aimed for weaponization and that cooperation with the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) was disrupted by U.S. and Israeli aggression.

What he's saying:

President Pezeshkian said Iran has never initiated any war and remains open to negotiations, but only under conditions of trust and mutual respect.

"We never sought war. From the start of my presidency, my slogan has been unity at home and peace with neighbors and the world."

"Netanyahu has been spreading lies since 1992 that Iran seeks nuclear weapons. That’s a lie, proven wrong through our cooperation with the IAEA and affirmed by a fatwa from our Leader."

He noted that Israel is undermining diplomacy by launching attacks mid-negotiation: “While we were still in talks, they dropped bombs on the negotiation table.”

"A regime that bombs civilians and murders scholars and generals while claiming self-defense is a threat to the entire world order—not just Iran."

"Distrust deepened when the IAEA's recent report gave Israel a pretext to attack our nuclear facilities without any authorization. Unfortunately, the agency did not even condemn the attacks on the sites that were under its own supervision."
