Golestan (IP) - The deputy director of Golestan province Agriculture Jihad Organization for horticulture said that this year, about 100,000 tons of crops would be harvested from 5,200 hectares of orange orchards in Iran's northern province.

Iran Press/Iran News: Stating that this year the average harvest of oranges from each orchard's hectare is about 20 tons, Navidreza Farhani added that the main Orange orchards are in Gorgan, Kordkuy, and Bandar Gaz.

Farhani stated that about 10% of the Golestan province's Oranges are exported to Central Asian countries and Iraq.

The area of ​​citrus orchards in Golestan province is about 6,000 hectares, of which 5,200 hectares are oranges.
