West Azarbaijan (IP) - Nectarine harvest from the orchards of West Azarbaijan Province, northwestern Iran, is in its final days.

Iran PressIran news: According to estimates, more than 25,700 tons of nectarines will be harvested from the orchards of West Azarbaijan province this year.

There are currently about 920 hectares of nectarine orchards in West Azarbaijan Province.

The main cultivars of nectarine produced in the orchards of the Iranian northwestern province include Shams nectarine, Moghan Donut Nectarines, Sungold, and Sun-king.

About 50% of the nectarine produced in the orchards of West Azarbaijan is provincially consumed and the rest is sent and exported to other provinces of Iran as well as some neighboring countries, including Russia.
