UN silence against the U.S and Israeli aggression on the world people equates complicity in their crimes against humanity and is a sign of its uselessness, said Iran’s Permanent Representative to the UN.

Amir Saeed Iravani said that as the Israeli regime failed in executing the West’s “dirty work,”against Iran, the U.S. Trump was compelled to personally carry out the most disgraceful part of the scenario in the early hours of Sunday, June 22, 2025.

The U.S. carried out attacks on nuclear facilities in central Iran on Sunday early morning.

If the UNSC fails to act and condemn the blatant aggression, the stigma of collusion—just as it remains in the case of Gaza—will forever mark its conscience, Amir Saeed Iravani addressed the imternational body, while speaking at the third emergencey ession over U.S. attack on Iran in the UN Security Council.

The U.S. attack violated the UN Charter, the Statute of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), relevant IAEA General Conference resolutions, UN Security Council Resolutions 487 (1981) and 2231 (2015), and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) itself.

Under Article 51 of the UN Charter, Iran will take all necessary and appropriate measures to protect its people, national sovereignty, territorial integrity, vital national interests, and peaceful nuclear program, Iran’s envoy stressed.
