Armenian Prosecutor General: Relationship with Iran is at highest level

Armenia (IP) - Prosecutor general of the Republic of Armenia said the relations of his country with the Islamic Republic of Iran are at a high level in all areas, including judicial cooperation.

Iran PressEurope: In a Wednesday meeting with the Iranian ambassador to Yerevan Abbas Zohouri, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Artur Davtyan referred to the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between the two countries and expressed hope that he would host his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Jafar Montazeri soon.

Zohouri said, for his part, that Iran's embassy continues its efforts to expand the judicial ties of the two countries. 

The two sides also discussed the two sides prisoners and transferring them to their homelands as well as Tehran-Yerevan cooperation in fighting drug trafficking. 

Judicial Assistance, Criminals' Extradition, and prisoner transfer are judicial memorandums of understanding maintained between Iran and Yerevan.
