Over 6,134 new COVID-19 cases detected in Iran

Tehran (IP) - According to the definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to October 23, 2020, newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 reached 6,134 cases, of whom 2,214 patients were hospitalized, the Spokeswoman for Iran's Ministry of Health, Sima Sadat Lari, stated.

Iran Press/Iran news: Lari said on Friday that with 335 deaths from the disease over the past 24 hours, the total death toll from COVID-19 reached 31,985.

More than 446,685 patients have recovered from the coronavirus across Iran, the spokeswoman added.

She also noted that, so far, 4,658,727 diagnostic tests have been conducted in Iran, adding 4,933 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition.

Provinces of Tehran, Isfahan, Qom, East Azerbaijan, South Khorasan, Semnan, Qazvin, Lorestan, Ardabil, Khuzestan, Kermanshah, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Gilan, Bushehr, Zanjan, Ilam, Khorasan Razavi, Mazandaran, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Alborz, West Azerbaijan, Markazi, Kerman, North Khorasan, Hamadan, Yazd, and Kurdistan are regarded as red zones.

Hormozgan, Fars, Golestan and Sistan and Baluchestan provinces are regarded as the orange and yellow zones.
