Tehran (IP) - The registration of candidates for the Iranian snap presidential election wrapped up at 6 pm local time in Tehran, today Monday.

Iran Press/Iran news:  The Iranian Minister of Interior said that the registration of 80 people who fulfilled the requirements for the presidential election candidacy was finalized.

The 80 will be examined by the Guardian Council in terms of qualifications and will get prepared for their election campaign, Ahmad Vahidi said. 

According to the Iranian Election Staff over 213 have registered their names as candidates for the 14th round of the presidential election in the country.

The registration process kicked off formally on Thursday morning in the Ministry of Interior, Tehran, and finished on Monday, June 3.
