The Emir of Qatar stressed the need to establish an independent Palestinian state while stating that the establishment of a just peace in the region is dependent on the Zionist regime's commitment to resolving the Palestinian issue.

Iran PressMiddle East: Speaking at the UN General Assembly on Tuesday, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani called on the international community and the Security Council to fulfill their responsibility regarding Israel's commitment to lifting the siege of the Gaza Strip.

The Emir of Qatar added: "Doha continues to coordinate with its international partners to provide immediate and long-term support to the people of Gaza."

The Emir of Qatar called the continuation of settlement by the Zionist regime, and the Palestinians issue which has not been yet resolved, as the biggest question mark about the credibility of the international community and its institutions.

Sheikh Tamim further referred to the developments in Syria and stressed that Qatar's stance on resolving the Syrian crisis is firm.

The Emir of Qatar also stressed the need to help and support world research centers to discover the coronavirus vaccine.
