Deputy Chairman of National Security and Foreign Policy Commission

Tehran (IP) - Deputy Chairman of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Abbas Moqtadaei-Khorasgani said that the US seeks to firm its presence in the region through normalizing Arab states' ties with Israel, the phenomenon which he called in vain.

Iran PressIran News: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press, Moqtadaei-Khorasani regarding the consequences of the normalization of relations between Bahrain and the UAE with Israel, stated that through unity, friendship and cooperation, regional countries should provide security in the region themselves.

Deputy Chairman of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission stressed that countries on the southern coasts of the Persian Gulf are expected to pay more attention to their own future, as the US has proven in practice that it abandons the poppet governments in the nick of time.

The US' attempt to normalize Israel's ties with the regional governments will backlash, though they might be able to sign contracts in the short term, the reaction of nations would differ a lot from the behavior of their governments, Moqtadaei-Khorasani noted.

The MP added that governments on the southern coasts of the Persian Gulf must consider the decisive, influential, and security-building role of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as it has always provided help to regional countries at various junctures.
