All Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon observed Friday, August 14 a day of strike and mourning, to condemn the agreement to normalize relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.

Iran Press/Middle East: The secretary-general of the Fateh movement in Lebanon, Fathi Abou Ardat, called on the Emirates to reverse their decision.

"The strike was observed in all camps," said the Palestinian official.

He described the agreement as "sinister aggression against the Palestinian people".

Abou Ardat called on member countries of the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to reject this agreement. The agreement is, according to him, "a shock for all free and noble people."
