Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will arrive in Moscow today to meet with high-ranking Russian officials.

Iran PressEurope: The ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Moscow Kazem Jalali wrote on Twitter that this is Zarif's 30th visit to Russia as Iran's foreign minister and his third in six months.

Kazemi added: "In addition to conveying the message of Iran's President Hassan Rouhani to Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Iranian Foreign Minister will hold talks with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov, five years after the signing of Iran's nuclear agreement known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), reviewing the latest regional developments and bilateral ties."

Jalali continued: "Russia, as a supporter of JCPOA, recently opposed a resolution of the International Atomic Energy Agency's Board of Governors. Iran and Russia are in full solidarity against US anti-humanitarian and unilateral sanctions."
