The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif met on Sunday with Leader of Iraq's National Wisdom Movement Seyed Ammar al-Hakim.

Iran PressMiddle East: During the meeting, the two sides discussed the situation in Iraq and the country's problems in various sectors, including the economic crisis, the decline of oil revenues, and coronavirus.

Discussion on the political situation and developments in the region was another focus of Zarif and Hakim.

Seyed Ammar Hakim also said during the meeting that Iraq welcomes the development of relations in various fields with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He added that we support the Al-Kazemi government in resolving the various problems and crises in Iraq.

The Leader of the Iraqi National Wisdom Movement also stated, "We support the policy of the new Iraqi government to develop relations with various countries, including its neighbors."
