A memorial event for the martyrs of the Minab school was held on Sunday in front of the U.S. Embassy in London, drawing a diverse crowd of hundreds of participants. The rally underscored a message of remembrance and solidarity, with speakers denouncing perceived aggressions and pledging allegiance to Iran's current leadership.
Maryam, a participant in the commemoration, addressed the gathering, stating, "As I was a follower of our martyred leader, I am also a follower of the new leader, and I say from here, 'Labbaik Ya Khamenei.' We are always obedient to the new leader, just as we were obedient to our martyred leader." This sentiment highlights a continuity in loyalty to the Iranian leadership structure.
In an exclusive interview with Iran Press News Agency, Elias Bagheri conveyed a message of defiance. "They have attacked our country," he stated. "I have come to say 'Death to America.' The time is over when they could eliminate a country's leader and then claim it was finished. No, this is just the beginning. We started from the Persian Gulf, and this war continues. We have come to say that if Pharaoh drowned in the Red Sea, America will drown in the Persian Gulf." Bagheri emphasized the global weariness of bloodshed and positioned the Islamic Republic of Iran as the sole banner standing against such actions.
Expressing deep personal grief, Bagheri added, "I wish I had died before my leader. I felt ashamed. I wish we could have been a sacrifice for the leader. I truly have no other message. I am his servant." He drew parallels between the perceived "oppression" of the martyred leader, particularly in his final days, and the suffering of Imam Ali (AS). Bagheri noted how, after Imam Ali's (AS) martyrdom, some questioned his prayer practices, similar to how some people falsely claimed the leader had gone to Russia or was in underground bunkers, when in reality, "he stood bravely like a man." He concluded by asserting that the world would eventually recognize the significance of the Islamic Republic of Iran and its role in defending the oppressed.
