In response to recent developments, Esmail Baghaei, spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, wrote on X social network: “The power of culture, logic, and faith of a ‘civilized’ nation will undoubtedly prevail over the logic of power and naked force.”
Esmail Baghaei added: “A nation that believes in the legitimacy of its path will use all its capacities and capabilities to protect its rights and interests.”
The statements came at a time when tensions in the region have increased following the Israeli-American war of aggression against Iran, and recently the draft resolution on Bahrain was rejected by the UN Security Council with the vetoes of Russia and China.
Baghaei emphasized Iran’s determination to defend its legitimate rights in the waters of the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.
