In a telephone conversation with Maria Tess Lazaro, Secretary of State of the Philippines, Abbas Araqchi, Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs calls U.S. as the source of instability in the region and Strait of Hormuz.

Lazaro expressed condolences for the martyrdom of Iran’s Leader and a group of officials and people during the military aggression of the United States and the Israeli regime, expressing hope that we will soon witness an end to the war and lasting peace and stability to the region.

While appreciating the sympathy of the government and people of the Philippines, Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs described the crimes committed by the United States and the Zionist regime during their 34-day military aggression against Iran.

Araqchi considered the illegal attack of the United States and the Zionist regime on Iran as the main cause of insecurity in the region and the Strait of Hormuz, and emphasized that Iran’s action in preventing the passage of vessels associated with the aggressors is in accordance with international law and to maintain security and preventing military aggression against Iran.

Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran, with a responsible approach and despite the insecurity imposed on the region and the Strait of Hormuz, has provided the necessary facilities for the safe passage of non-hostile vessels and ships, through coordination with the competent Iranian authorities.
