In a joint statement, Iran’s General Staff of the Armed Forces and the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters declared victory following a 40-day period of intense engagement, stating that “American-Zionist enemies” were ultimately forced to accept the terms proposed by Iran. The statement, which paid homage to Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini and late Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, hailed the resilience of the Iranian people and the bravery of its armed forces.
According to the statement, after suffering heavy blows during a 12-day conflict in June 2025, Iranian forces, armed with 47 years of experience and the lessons of the imposed war, prepared for a more severe and prolonged engagement. The statement referenced a previous “American-Zionist sedition” in January 2025 and a subsequent attack which resulted in the martyrdom of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and other commanders, prompting a swift and powerful response from Iranian forces.
The joint communiqué detailed that over the course of the 40-day conflict, the enemy faced increasingly devastating strikes and unexpected developments, leading to a broadening of the war’s scope across the region. It asserted that Iranian forces maintained control of the conflict, inflicting heavy casualties, significant military losses, and extensive infrastructural damage on the opposing forces.
The statement further elaborated that the Iranian Army, the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), police forces, defense industry personnel, Basij, and tribal forces, with the comprehensive support of the populace, targeted American military bases in the region and Israeli army positions in occupied territories, as well as vital military, security, and economic sites. This resulted in the humiliation of the American and Zionist enemies, proving Iran's capability to decisively repel any adversary.
The armed forces concluded by stating that with divine assistance and the support of the people, they presented a model to the world, demonstrating that resistance against the “most arrogant, proud, and rebellious” government, namely American imperialism, is far less costly than compromise. They further said that this resistance and continuous offense dismantled the “artificial facade of power” of the American and Israeli forces, exposing their true nature of weakness and inability against the will of God’s soldiers.
