Iran Press/ Middle East: Mohammad Javad Zarif, who is in Baghdad, met the Prime Minister of Iraq to exchange thoughts on developing bilateral ties.
Zarif also discussed the latest regional and global developments as well as the situation in Iraq with Mustafa al-Kazemi.
Prior to the meeting, the Iranian Foreign Minister also met the Iraqi Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein.
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif arrived in Baghdad on Sunday heading a high-level delegation to meet with Iraqi officials.
Upon arrival in Iraq, Zarif visited the site of the martyrdom of General Qassem Soleimani, Abu Mahdi al-Mohandes and their companions near Baghdad airport.
Lt. Gen. Qassem Soleimani, commander of the IRGC's Quds Force, who had arrived in Iraq on January 3 at the official invitation of Iraqi officials, along with Abu Mahdi al-Mohandes, deputy head of the Iraqi People's Basij (al-Hashd al-Shabi), and eight others in an airstrike orchestrated by The American aggressor.
