Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) has confirmed the martyrdom of Brigadier General Seyed Majid Khademi, who held the position of head of the IRGC’s Intelligence Organization. The IRGC described him as a “capable and cultured” leader.
In their statement, the IRGC emphasized the late general’s extensive service, spanning approximately half a century. They stated that during this time, he made “great, lasting, and instructive” contributions in the fields of intelligence and security, serving the revolution, the system, and the Islamic homeland with “sincere and courageous guardianship.”
The statement further noted that Khademi’s career is expected to guide the country’s intelligence community for many years to come. This guidance is deemed particularly crucial in confronting foreign adversaries and their “sinister and devilish plots” aimed at infiltration and undermining the security and tranquility of Iran.
