Rouhani stresses provincial anti-coronavirus measures

Tehran (IP) - The President instructed the Minister of Health and Medical Education to intensify activities and monitor the provincial anti-coronavirus Task Forces in two provinces and several cities where the number of infected people has increased, to curb the growing trend of the virus.

Iran Press/Iran news: In a telephone conversation with the Minister of Health on Sunday,  Hassan Rouhani received a report on the latest situation of COVID-19 disease in the country, and underscored, "In areas where we are witnessing some growth due to the lack of strict observance of health protocols, the provincial Task Forces must step up their efforts to stop the growth of the virus with the cooperation of governors-general and heads of medical universities".

Referring to the reopening of crowded centers, holy places, and holy shrines, as well as the activity of offices with full capacity from next week, Rouhani said, "It is necessary to fully comply with health protocols and cooperate with the managers of these centers, and the Ministry of Health must have strict and continuous monitoring of this issue on its agenda".

The President stated, "Care should be exercised and, close monitoring and continuous information should continue so that with the recent reopening of some centers and businesses, as well as the resumption of activities of crowded centers, the downward trend does not stop".

At the same phone call, Minister of Health and Medical Education Saeed Namaki presented a complete report on the situation of COVID-19 disease in the country and emphasized, "Fortunately, with people's cooperation in observing health protocol, we see a declining slope of coronavirus throughout the country".
