Iranian Health Ministry Spokesman

Tehran (IP) - Iranian Health Ministry Spokesman said that in the past 24 hours, 58 patients lost their lives due to Coronavirus and in 20 provinces there have no death related to COVID-19.

Iran Press/Iran news: Iran's Ministry of Health and Medical Education Spokesman Kianoush Jahanpour on Sunday, May 24 reported the latest data on the coronavirus in the country and the deaths caused by the virus.

Jahanpour said: "According to the definitive laboratory findings and from yesterday to May 24 in the country, 1,180 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed and the number of patients with this disease reached 135,701."

Fortunately, 105,801 patients have recovered and have been discharged so far, Jahanpour added.

The Spokesman said, "Unfortunately, in the past 24 hours, 58 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, and 7,417 people have lost their lives in the country to date."

He stated, "2,615 patients are in a critical condition."

"So far, 8,519 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted in the country," the Health Ministry spokesman said.

Kianoush Jahanpour also announced that there were no fatalities attributed to COVID-19 in 13 provinces, and in 8 provinces, only one fatal case was reported. 205/219
