Iran Press/ Iran news: Hassan Rouhani who attended the National Taskforce for Combating the Coronavirus on Thursday expressed his satisfaction with the declining trend of the COVID-19 outbreak and considered the shortening of the treatment duration of the disease as a sign of containing the virus in a near future.
Iranian President said the declining trend of the outbreak of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and its control in the country is the result of people's cooperation with the authorities and the observance of health guidelines and protocols in the society.
He referred to the warnings of the Health Ministry officials over the re-emergence of the virus in autumn and stressed taking due measures through informing people and the consistency of observing health protocols to remove the concerns over the issue.
“Based on the predictions of the various committees of the National Taskforce for Combating the Coronavirus and with the plans made, we hope that the activities in the country and the affairs of the people will not be severely restricted again and at the same time the health of the society and the people will be ensured,” Rouhani said.
Iranian Health Ministry Spokesman Kianoosh Jahanpour said on Thursday Iran has managed to control the coronavirus outbreak and we are on the verge of containing the virus.
According to the latest statistics, 129,341 people in the country have definitely been infected with the coronavirus, and 100,564 of total infected people have recovered.
