Tehran (IP) -The President's Chief of Staff of Iran and the Advisor on Foreign Relations of the President of Azerbaijan expressed satisfaction with the growing trend of Tehran-Baku cooperation, especially in the economic field.

Iran Press/Iran News: Mahmoud Vaezi and Hikmat Hajiyev stressed in a telephone call that the two countries' economic exchanges have continued in accordance with health protocols and there is no obstacle to the development of this cooperation.

Announcing Iran's appreciation for holding the Virtual Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement, Vaezi stated that the Republic of Azerbaijan, as the chair of the Non-Aligned Movement, not only did not allow Corona to prevent the summit from taking place but also took a valuable step in coordinating and jointly fighting the disease by choosing the Corona issue as the focus.

He expressed hope that the positions and solutions presented at the meeting would enable countries to work hand in hand to overcome this global problem and stand up to those who seek to take advantage of these problems.

Hajiyev for his part stressed that his country attaches great importance to the development of comprehensive Tehran-Baku cooperation and that Mr. Aliyev had informed all officials that corona disease should not be an obstacle to the growing cooperation between the two countries.

He expressed hope that with the observance of health protocols and the exchange of experiences to curb corona disease, cooperation and trade and economic exchanges between the two countries to be further strengthened.
