Tehran (IP) - the Chief Commander of the Revolutionary Guards Corps, Maj. Gen. Hossein Salami said that the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps has set up a headquarter to support 3.5 million families in need.

Iran PressIran News: Following the wise guidance of the Leader in a televised speech in the middle of Sha'ban on a large-scale exercise for relief, sympathy and faithful help to those in need in society during the holy month of Ramadan, and at the invitation of Major General Hossein Salami, the Chief Commander of the Revolutionary Guards Corps, a meeting of officials of supportive institutions was held at the headquarters of the IRGC General Command in order to coordinate, increase and participate in this faithful and humanitarian action.

In this meeting, which was attended by Maj. Gen. Hossein Salami, Reza Rahmani, Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade, Parviz Fattah, Head of the Mostazafan Foundation, Mohammad Mokhber, Head of Executive Headquarters of Imam's Directive, Morteza Bakhtiari, Chairman of Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation and Gholamreza Soleimani, the head of the Basij Organization, it was decided to set up a headquarters titled Imam Hassan Mojtaba (AS) with a combination of supportive institutions and the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade, in order to take measures related to policy-making, planning, organizing and implementing plans and programs to help the needy and deprived ones in society.

The Chief Commander of the IRGC in the first meeting of the Imam Hassan Mojtaba (AS) Camp, referring to the philosophy of the establishment of this camp and the prevailing conditions caused by the COVID-19 disease in the country, said: "Although, as a pandemic, the virus has affected almost all countries' nations, and our country, beyond a virus, is struggling with other viruses such as sanctions, psychological operations and even intimidation for military aggression at the same time."

"However, by the grace of God, our actual capacities today have shown amazing brilliance and distinction compared to the developed countries in this scene", Salami emphasized.

Gen. Salami noted: "The Leader of the Islamic Revolution stated truly that the beautiful behavior of the Iranian nation in confronting the Coronavirus indicates the enormous capacity of Iran and the emotion and solidarity between the government and the people in the process of successful management and prevention of this disease." 207/216
