According to the latest figures provided by Iran's Ministry of Health and Medical Education, 16711 patients have recovered from the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) across Iran. 104/214

Iran PressIran News: Speaking at his daily press conference on Thursday, Iranian Health Ministry Spokesman Kianoush Jahanpour announced that so far, 50468 people in the country have definitely been infected with the coronavirus, 3160 people have died due to the disease and 16711 have recovered and discharged from hospitals across Iran.

Jahanpour added: "To date, following the expansion of the National Mobilization Plan Against Coronavirus, over 69 million people have signed up to the program and screened.”

He said: "According to the definitive laboratory findings and from yesterday to April 2 in the country, 2875 new patients were diagnosed with COVID-19 in the country and the number of patients with this disease reached 50468."

Iranian Health Ministry Spokesman added: "Unfortunately, in the past 24 hours, 124 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, bringing the total deaths to 3160."

In his remarks on Wednesday over the implementation of screening and social distancing national projects, Iran’s Health Minister Saeed Namaki described the number of people who have been screened as "significant" to those authorities assessing health measures. 

 

Worldwide, the total number of infections recorded since the beginning of the outbreak reached more than 937,000. Some 195,000 people have recovered globally while nearly 47,000 have died.
