Iran Press/Iran news: German and British Foreign Ministers Heiko Maas and Dominic Raab, on Monday in separate telephone conversations with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif discussed the latest regional and international developments and JCPOA (the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action). In these conversations, they emphasized the need to prevent the rising of tensions in the region.
Also, the Iranian Foreign Minister, while announcing Iran's dissatisfaction of the EU's recent stance on Iran's 5th step in reducing its commitments, called the failure to understand realities of the region as a European strategic mistake and strongly criticized the US government for causing tension and insecurity in the region, especially after the assassination of Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani in Iraq.
Zarif criticized Europeans for failing to fulfill their obligations under the nuclear deal, calling Iran's retaliatory steps as the country's right within the framework of the JCPOA. He also cited that the only way to stop this situation is that Europeans fulfill their commitments.
